Kairos Prison Ministry

Have you been looking for a way to connect with new friends and to make a difference in the world around you? The Kairos Prison Ministry of Severn Run may be your answer. A men’s missions team is forming to go into the Men’s Correctional Institution in Jessup, MD October 23rd thru 26th. The Church at Severn Run has a goal to provide 8 men to serve on this 40-man team. Team members will receive training on 4 Saturdays (8/23, 9/6, 9/20, and 10/4) prior to the team event. Once trained, team members can go into the prison to continue ministering to residents.

A little nervous and not quite sure if you are ready to go into the prison, consider serving on the outside support team. We are seeking 4 individuals to serve on the support team. Support team members prepare meals on training dates and on the weekend the team goes into the prison. We are also seeking Groups to sponsor meals for the team on training dates.

Still too big a commitment, but think you might be interested to learn more, consider attending the closing ceremony inside the men’s correctional institution on Sunday, October 26th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. We are seeking 8 individuals to support the team in this way.
