Spirtually Fed
It is Sunday evening. I am looking out the window and asking the Lord to allow me to write a blog that is a help to a multitude and multitude of people. What comes to my mind is Peace Be Still. So many are hurting. As believers in Christ, we can continue to hold onto Peace that is in the truth that the Lord will make everything right. Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” We are living in Isaiah 5:20 right now.
This brings to my mind the scripture verse Two Corinthians 4:4 which says, “The God of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Just think of how damning it is to have your mind blinded by God because you did not believe. If you do not believe, God is not in you. And if God is not in you, you see where I am going with this? Hence where we are today.
I pray that every eye that reads this is spiritually fed and not emotionally led. As children of God, we are called to live spirit led lives, not lives led by our emotions. Have you ever made a decision or acted on how you felt at that time and/or moment and then regretted it? Any decisions that are fed and led by the Spirit will align with what is declared in Bible verses, scripture. It is why is so very important to read the Bible. If you do not understand the Bible get “The Book” and compare it to the Bible verses. The message is the same, but it is written in a more understanding way.
We have heard the saying, “What you don’t know won’t hurt you.”, and it is a lie. I can safely say that without Christ, there is “no peace” to be still. Without the Lord’s armor, we may as well be in the lion’s den with a raw steak around our necks. Ephesians 6:11-13 says to “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”
I am saying all of this to say . . . “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7. May the Lord fill your heart with His peace that you may have clarity, direct your thoughts, actions, words and decisions.
Prayer: Help us Lord to be still and to listen for Your calm and still voice in this loud world that stands for everything that is not of You. I know this because the Bible tells me so. Amen.
