He’s Got 2026

Glenda Lawing   -

I wanted to write a Blog that would be a blessing to a multitude of people for the times in which we are living. A time where worry, uncertainty and change have become everyday norm. I wanted to remind you that God loves you so much and through your relationship with Him this year everything is okay. My mind went from subject to subject, and from verse to verse. The verse that kept coming back to me was Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus..

There are times when we do not want to hear this. We want instant gratification, an instant answer to our problems not knowing that prayer is the instant answer. God is always at work in our lives shaping us into who He has made us to be. So, seeing that He knows everything about us once we ask of Him we can lay our mind to rest.

Give it to God. Then Gods got it!

Prayer connects us with the Lord. When we are talking to the Lord He hears us. Talking with our Father opens the doorway for communication and spiritual intimacy. In moments of despair, anxiety and uncertainty prayer gives us peace. Through prayer we can let the Lord know how we are feeling. It is a time to remind Him of His promises.

For example, if I feel overwhelmed, like I am not equipped to oversee a task, I may say to my Father, “Lord, I do not feel confident in what I am doing. I feel overwhelmed and I know this is not a feeling of you, so father I am asking for your help on this day, with this task.” I am praying Philippians 4:6-7. This way, I am letting my request be known and leaving it with Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord our provider and thanking Him for all that He does and has done. This is more effective than pacing the floor worrying, not sleeping at night, calling around getting other people’s advice so that they can in turn call somebody else and discuss what you discussed with them.

Give it to God. Then Gods got it!

Our father is teaching us patience. Remember, God is growing us. Let me tell you just how much He is there for us, even when we do not know what to pray. Romans 8:26 says, The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.Jesus wants a relationship with us, with You!

A Prayer over us as we go into 2026: “Thank you Abba-father for displacing worry in our lives with your promises. As we step into 2026 let our New Years Resolutions be one of building a closer relationship with you so that our efforts will be crowned with success! Lord, may our  conversations with you fill us with comfort and clarity, allowing our hearts, wants and desires to align with Your will for our lives. Amen.”

What better way to start and close out our year than by

Giving it to God. Then Gods got it!
