Don’t Ever Stop
Don’t stop! Now, is not the time to give up. We must keep praying. Keep believing. Even if you have said the same prayer many times over, keep on praying on it.
There are issues that I have been praying on for many years, some have come to pass, and some have not, yet. I believe in Jesus. I believe in His words. Luke 11:9-10 says, “So I say to you, ask and keep on asking, and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking, and you will find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking [persistently], receives; and he who keeps on seeking [persistently], finds; and to him who keeps on knocking [persistently], the door will be opened.” The only question here is, how much faith do we really have?
Lately I have been feeling, how can I explain it, out of sorts, not in the poor health realm but in the emotional state realm. On most days I avoid the news because I hate to see what is going on in our world right now. What is more disturbing is the population that relish it. I tell you, when I see people relishing others turmoil,
It brings to my mind:
Proverbs 17.5, “Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker; he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.”
It brings to my mind:
Leviticus 19:34, “The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.”
It brings to my mind:
Matthew 20:16, and it says, “So, one day, those people who are not important now will become the most important. Those people who are important now will become the least important.”
This is the God that we serve, a God that created each of us uniquely, with different abilities and personalities. Our diversity is part of His plan. He has a purpose for every human under the sun. Genesis 1:27 says, “So, God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” We are to emulate Jesus’ love for All He has created. We can do this because as believers in Christ we know that God is in control; He always has been and always will be.
Nothing that happens is a surprise to Him. It is why Jesus has told us to, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you and I nor forsake us.” Deuteronomy 31.6. John 15:4 says, “remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” We cannot afford to stop believing, hoping, and praying. I know that I cannot do this alone and none of us were meant to.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am grateful and thankful for your many blessings. You said that those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. You alone are our refuge, our place of safety; you are our God, and we are trusting you. Thank you for sheltering us with your wings. Thank you for your faithful promises. You are our armor and protection. Thank you for rescuing us from every trap and protecting us from fatal plagues. Psalm 91. Faithful is Our God!
