In January of 2025, Pastor Drew Shofner shared with our congregation and community that God has called him and his family into a new season of life and that he would be retiring from The Church at Severn Run. Since then, we have been preparing and praying for his transition and trusting God through every step along the way. At this time, the Shofner family is ready to announce their plans to move to Oklahoma at the end of this month. We invite you to join us in celebrating, honoring, and uplifting the Shofner family in prayer. There will be a Celebration on Saturday, March 21st, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come! Light refreshments will be available.Sunday, March 22nd, will be Pastor Drew's last day preaching at The Church at Severn Run. In addition to Pastor Drew preaching, we will be celebrating his ministry and honoring his family during the service. Please plan to join us for this momentous day.Pastor Drew has been our beloved Lead Pastor for over 27 years, sharing decades of dedicated service to our church, Anne Arundel County, and beyond. Leading a church of over 900 weekly members, He has been a shepherd and leader to the thousands of families that have been impacted through his life and ministry. We will provide more updates and reminders in the coming weeks. The Shofners are excited to continue loving well, living Jesus, and believing big as God leads them and Severn Run into the future.
