All Praise All Day

Glenda Lawing   -

With all that’s going on in our world today it’s so easy to forget that the world is not on our shoulders but God’s. I have been desiring to write  a blog, and I always ask the Lord to give me a subject that will be a help to a multitude and multitude of people. My mind has been frozen! Every subject that I came up with sounded good until I sat down in front of my computer.

I know that God is the source of all joy! So, I started thinking about what Philippians 4:8 says, to “Think on the things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable and worthy of Praise!”

I believe that God is the giver of everything that is good and there is far more good in our lives than we realize. God has been good to me so I asked myself why are negative thoughts so easy to hold dear after witnessing all of God’s many blessings in my life? I know that in every situation, no matter how challenging, the Lord has a plan for my good. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

When I don’t know what step to take next; when I don’t know what to do with my emotions; when I don’t know what to pray because I don’t think it’s any one particular thing on my mind, and when I’m overwhelmed with thoughts, Jesus says: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Romans 8:26.

All of the above was said to explain why I chose this topic, All Praise and All Glory to God All Day Long. This is so that negative thoughts won’t have a chance to take root. In with the good thoughts and out with the bad, for it is God’s will for our lives.

 I will pray:

  • Lord, I praise You Heavenly Father. I could never repay You for what You have done and are still doing in my life. You breathe your breath into my body each day.
  • Thank you for your faithfulness.
  • Thank you for your hedge of protection over my life.
  • Thank you for your travel mercies, which encompass a lot more than just going to and from these days.
  • I am grateful that You protecting me from the many unknown illnesses that could have taken root at any time.
  • Thank you for saving me from that car accident that could have paralyzed me.
  • Thank you for watching over me while I slept.
  • Thank you for giving me the strength to keep it moving forward.
  • Thank you for my family and friends.
  • Thank you for looking out for me when I was too unaware to look out for my own good; when I thought I knew it all but didn’t know anything at all!
  • Thank you for being good and perfect today and tomorrow. You are the Father of the heavenly lights that never change.
  • Thank you for your sacrifice so that I may be reconciled to God and set free from sin.
  • Thank you for your mercy gift of Salvation; something that I could never have received on my own.

Because I know You’re watching over me, I’m thankful for challenges that change me for your glory!

I praise You Lord because You are worthy to be praised!

 Amen
