God is at work inside the darkness of the prison! And now, He is assembling a team of servants for the next Kairos at the Maryland Correctional Institution at Jessup, Maryland. The MCIJ facility is a men’s medium security prison. Our goal is to have 5 men volunteer to serve on this team from Severn Run.
This Kairos weekend runs from Thursday, April 24th through Sunday, April 27th of 2025. There are also 4 mandatory team training meetings conducted on Saturdays before the weekend.
The dates for the mandatory team training meetings are:
• Saturday, March 1st 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Saturday, March 15th 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Saturday, March 29th 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Saturday, April 12th 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
These team sessions will prepare participants for this experience – both spiritually and in terms of assigned jobs. Please note that in order for us to be spiritually and operationally ready for this one-of-a-kind mission trip, 75% attendance at team meetings are required. That means that participants can miss only one team meeting. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided during team meetings.
