Child Dedication

The Church at Severn Run is excited to host our next Child Dedication on October 30th, 2022, at both the 9:30am and 11:00am services. Child Dedications take place during our Sunday Worship Services. We will invite each child and their immediate family on to our stage during the worship service to be dedicated.
We do not practice baptism or christening for our little ones. If you have any questions about that, we would be happy to connect anytime and talk through our position on that. Our Child Dedication is a pact & bond between your family, your church, and your faith in Jesus. By presenting yourself and your child on stage, you are dedicating your family to follow Jesus as you love, lead, and care for your child. Your church will be present in the worship services to dedicate itself to pray for you and your child, and to honor our commitment to love and care for your family. Life, faith, and raising a family are all better in community – Child Dedication is truly a beautiful example of that. As you are the leader of life and faith at home, your church and community is here to support and cheer you on.
We look forward to celebrating and encouraging your family! We will present you all with a gift onstage, and we will be hosting Parent Commissioning classes in 2023 – which will be additional opportunities to find encouragement and resources for your family from your church.
