All In God’s Time

Glenda Lawing   -

For the past five months I have been attending a trade school to become a Medical Assistant. This is something that I never thought I would have the confidence or guts to do it because I am squeamish when it comes to blood, sores, cuts, scratches, and minor scrapes. A finger prick was equal to having major surgery is what I am saying. Now, I feel like it is my purpose and the Lord’s plan for my life at this time. I wondered at times why the Lord would wait so long to put this desire into my heart and it was simply answered with, my time, not yours.

The Bible emphasizes patiently waiting on the Lord and trusting His perfect timing and plan for our lives. God’s plans for our lives are perfectly orchestrated by the Master Himself! Proverbs16:9 says:We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.Everyday of our lives are important to the Lord. Whatever each of our purpose is, the Lord will bring it to fruit, in His time. During our “living our lives” the Lord is preparing us for His will.

One of the ways we are being prepared is through adversity, and the different challenges we go through. There is no one who prepares us like Jesus. He is the great preparer. He puts the desire in our hearts for His will to be done. His perfect will for your life may not look like what you see your life as being.

Holding onto Confidence

Insecurities begin to creep in on me, it whispered things like, What are you doing? Suppose you do all of this and cannot transition from the legal field to the healthcare field? Insecurity is an emotion tied to lack of confidence in oneself. Insecurities as these may not seem like a dangerous emotion, but it is, it can be life changing. I call it, being my own worst enemy. Hebrews 10:35-37 says So do not lose your confidence. It will bring you a great reward. You need endurance so that after you have done what God wants you to do, you can receive what he has promised.

Talk to the Lord. He is Builder

After different challenges and the adversity that comes with just living and looking everywhere but to He that is in me is greater than he that is in this world.” 1 John 4:4, for answers, and confirmations, I realize that not only is Jehovah-Jireh the great provider, He is who He says He is. There is no greater love than the love of Jesus Christ. It is He who saves souls, restores me, heals me, confirms me as His. He puts my feet on steady ground when I feel unsteady out here. He has made ways out of no way for me. I know too much about Him to doubt Him! Therefore, I turn to Jeus first!

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,” I Ephesians 3:20. I Pray the Lord’s Blessings over us all. I pray that we continue live as Pastor Drew Shofner says, to Love well, Live Jesus and believe big! Amen.
