I Got Questions

  -

How does Satan “put evil thoughts into the hearts” of believers? How can this be possible if people love God and serve Him? (I hear your thoughts before you even read this: Sis, what Are you talking about?? That can’t be!??) Oh, really now. Let’s look at a couple of examples in scripture…

*Judas* (position, prestige, wrong motives)

John 13:2. During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,

*Annaias and Sapphira//LEADERS in the early church* (personal ambition and greed)

Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, “Annaias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? (Remember it was a willful gift. They didn’t need to lie. Remember Psalm 101:7).

How can Believers today get evil thoughts that work Unrighteousness in our lives? The above, references Satan/the devil. Like saying… The devil Made me do it. What IT!? 👀🤔

Did The Devil MAKE you punch someone, flip the bird at a driver, cut someone off on the road, drink alcohol before ministering, cuss out the boss (well maybe a coworker. Might need that job..lol). Or… Did you do it? Drawn away and enticed by pride, anger, hate, vengeance (which I’m certain God said belonged to Him), or personal desires (not an inclusive list. Many of these and others needing honorable mention can be found posted in Prov. 6:16-19 and see the works of the flesh listed Gal 5:19-20.  For your review).

Scripture says …James 1:13-14:

13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but ***each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.***🧐 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

So, I guess the Real question becomes…. What is in Your Heart!? (Say that like Samuel Jackson in that credit card commercial – (smiling) So, what’s in your wallet?) Sounds kind of funny – but is it really?

Here is How to really MESS UP! (🤔 Yes. I said what I said.)

  1. Stay out of the word!! Don’t look to know it for yourselves. Read or study it for yourselves… And by all means.
  2. look up what scriptures you hear from the Pulpits on Sunday mornings – geeze …. Accept everything.
  3. If you want to have the works of the flesh work for you – make sure to twist the scriptures. Remember be like Satan…. question the word of God not to learn but to find loopholes! (Remember like the serpent in Eden speaking with Eve….Did God say…(See Genesis 3).

IF YOU KNOW the word you know what God wants and what is acceptable to Him (as well as what is not acceptable).

  1. Believe everything you hear on the Internet. (The old saints used to say ….you don’t know how clean people are.
  2. So don’t eat from everybody’s table. That includes every leader. Unless of course, you want to have the same end as Judas and Annaias and Safira.
  3. The only way to make sure your food is properly served…is to know the recipe. Know the word for yourselves. Anyone can put two scriptures together. Just…make sure they go together).

IF YOU ARE IN RELATIONSHIP with God … You will want to please Him. That means knowing who He is. What He likes. Doesn’t like. Expects. We cannot stop with ‘oh…I’ve got Jesus in my heart’ – this is where our learning journey begins!

  1. Being Tempted is usual and customary. (Even Jesus was tempted (Matt 4:1-11).

IF WE DON’T YIELD to temptations (because Neither Did Jesus)….we Cannot be drawn away and enticed by our own lusts – if we don’t Yield. The old song used to say Yielding is sin.

  • Can we accidentally do evil?
  • Can’t we just repent?
  • Was the coworker accidentally cussed out?

🤔 Well. That answer holds a mixed review. What is your goal here in even considering this question? *Are you Looking for a loop hole?* Paul said … Gal. 5:4, And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts.

Well this write up is just giving Soo many questions.🙄

How do we crucify the flesh!?

  • Fasting.
  • Praying.
  • Staying in the word of God.
  • Fellowship with believers/Being disciples and discipling.

Be YOU.  In Christ. Don’t Be like Judas. Or Annaias or Sapphira. Be (insert your name here _____). If (insert your name here again please) _____ gets closer to God – then the desires of the world Fade. This is when we start looking More like Jesus and seek to please Him. 2 Cor 3:8 says:

But we all, with uncovered face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Also see Eph 5:26…. It speaks of being washed through the word.

Kewl – I think I am out of questions.

Whew…
