The Kids at Severn Run Ministry is designed to connect with your children in the most meaningful way for their age group. The leaders and staff seek to serve your entire family, by intentionally creating an exciting, loving, and safe environment where your kids can develop positive, relational connections while being creatively taught God’s Word on a level they can understand.

Your kids learn to age appropriately worship, connect, serve, and share according to God’s Word with other kids their age. We focus on family worship, building healthy families, and loving others with grace and compassion.
When you drop your kids off, you will sign them in, and place their nametag on their clothing. You may then take them to their classroom where a friendly group of vetted ministry volunteers will teach your child while you enjoy the worship service or another church event. At time for pick up, simply present your tag ensuring that your child is paid with you for departure. Be sure to ask them about what they learned each week!
Our Weekend Kid City classes are divided into three age groups located in two general areas on the Severn Run Campus (see Where to Go below). These classes take place in concurrence with our Sunday worship services at 9:30 AM, 11:00 AM, and 12:30 PM.
Start at the Starting Line Jr. by The Neighborhood. This is where you can register your child, check in, and get any information you need from our friendly and helpful volunteers and staff.
The Neighborhood (Birth-Pre-K)
The Neighborhood offers care and ministry to our families with Pre-School aged children and younger. It is located downstairs behind the Starting Line Jr., where you can also find specific classroom information for your kids.
Discovery Park (Kindergarten & 1st Grade)
Discovery Park offers care and ministry to families with Kindergarten and 1st grade children. It is located upstairs, where you can also check-in your children. Discovery Park is a fun environment encouraging exploration of God’s truth on a level that kids in this age group can understand.
Uptown (2nd-4th Grades)
Located upstairs, Uptown offers care and ministry to our families with children in grades 2-4. Your children will participate in a large group worship that includes music, drama, and video. They will also learn in small groups where activities focus on learning a monthly virtue.
Club 56 (5th & 6th Grades)
Club 56 is offered during our 11 AM service and is also located upstairs. Club 56 is a group for 5th and 6th graders. This program begins to use learning tools and programs to help these kids make a smooth transition into our middle school and high school programs.
Kid Time is a time for younger kids when the adults in the family are attending a church event or Connect Group outside of worship where childcare is provided. You will generally need to sign your children up for Kid Time in conjunction with the event you are attending.
