We realize that children learn in all kinds of ways and we love to be creative in our teachings. We strive to help each child from birth to fourth grade know that they are “Fearfully and wonderfully made.” We are excited to go on this faith journey with you and your child.

Our Weekend Experience

Our weekend Kids Ministry is located in two general areas on the Severn Run Campus. Start at the Kids Welcome Desk in the Kids Atrium. This is where you can register your child, check in, and get any information you need from our friendly and helpful volunteers and staff.

Our Preschool Ministry is for children ages birth through Pre-K. It is located downstairs and specific classroom information is located at check-in stations as well as at the information area.

Elementary School

Elementary School

Our Elementary Kids Ministry offers care and ministry to our families with children in Kindergarten to 4th grade, in two separate classrooms—Lower Elementary (K-1st) and Upper Elementary (2nd-4th). Kids will participate in a large group worship consisting in worship, drama and video as well as small groups where learning activities are utilized to teach how to apply Biblical values in everyday life.

Beginning in Fall 2025, our 5th graders are going to be a part of the Student Ministry at Severn Run, joining Bridge 56—a place for all 5th and 6th graders to learn more about Jesus through worship and biblical teaching while also making new friends. Learn more about that below!

When We Meet

Your kids learn to age appropriately worship, connect, serve, and share according to God’s Word with other kids their age. We focus on family worship, building healthy families, and loving others with grace and compassion.

When you drop your kids off, you will sign them in, and place their nametag on their clothing. You may then take them to their classroom where a friendly group of vetted ministry volunteers will teach your child while you enjoy the worship service or another church event. 

At time for pick up, simply present your tag ensuring that your child is paired with you for departure. Be sure to ask them about what they learned each week!

Please Note: Elementary kids do not gather on the 5th Sunday of the month (when there is one!) and are invited to attend our Next Gen Worship Sunday with their families! This will take place in the Worship Center—it's a family friendly worship service to encourage families to spend time worshiping together!
