The Compassion Experience

The Compassion Experience from Compassion International is coming to The Church at Severn Run! The Compassion Experience is an interactive audio/visual journey showing Jesus's transformative work through a child's story of overcoming poverty. Visitors will walk through a semi-truck that’s been transformed to recreate scenes from the lives of two children sponsored through Compassion International. Each visitor will get an audio device and will hear recordings of the child’s story in each room. This is a free, family-friendly event, so invite your friends, family, and neighbors to check it out. We are also in need of many volunteers to assist with setting up, and helping with the guest experience.

Compassion Sunday

The Church at Severn Run partners with Compassion International to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name and give our congregants the opportunity to change a child’s life. In addition to the Compassion Experience, we will be hosting a Compassion Sunday. Our weekend services will be full of stories about children overcoming poverty through finding hope in Jesus Christ! Opportunities to sponsor a child will also be available.
