Just as your physical eye cannot see all the spectrums of light, you cannot see, without faith, all the possibilities of God! So why settle just for what you can see? Why not live for so much more? The mystery is that there is more to life than what we can see. There are more...
In John 6:35 Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." Some of you may have said "I've tried trusting God in the past and it doesn't work!" Well, don't keep your distance, it's time to make a...
This Christmas season, I want to remind you again that something has happened on planet earth that changed everything. 1 John 4:10 says, "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." It was the love of Jesus that cost God...

Just as your physical eye cannot see all the spectrums of light, you cannot see, without faith, all the possibilities of God! So why settle just for what you can see? Why not live for so much more?
In John 6:35 Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
Some of you may have said "I've tried trusting God in the past and it doesn't work!" Well, don't keep your distance, it's time to make a move! Do something of faith! Go hard after Jesus and if you'll reach after Him for life, you'll find Him!
You've been given a free will, you've been given a life, you're not beat down, your story is not hopeless -this isn't the end!
Refuse to make peace with passive, some of us are so passive and we're waiting for God to do something. God has already done something! He lived, He died on the cross, He rose again on the third day and since the moment you drew breath on planet earth, He's been reaching out toward you! You respond to what He's done!
Stuck is a choice! You don't have to stay stuck in your sadness, you don't have to stay stuck in your own version of hell! You have been offered the touch of Jesus, and the hand of God is reaching toward you. Yes, we're gonna live in a broken world, 'til the new world comes. Yes, life is gonna be a challenge and it's gonna be hard, but it doesn't have to be hopeless! It can be joyful, purposeful, it can be full of growth and love and it can be full of relationship and life!
Most of all it can be full of Jesus and all that He is can be ours and change our reality! Or you can stay stuck and addicted, or you can try just a little more pornography - another woman or another man. Hey how about some more stuff? That'll do it! Spend yourself a little deeper into debt, then you'll be happy - oh wait, the bill comes!
Don't stay stuck, take the initiative of faith to respond to what God has already done, do something creatively today toward God. So many of us have gotten into such a passive mode that we don't even know how to seek God anymore and I just want to tell you that you gotta use your imagination! Each one of the people in the stories of Matthew 9:18-34 imagined a different way that Jesus could touch them or how they could touch Jesus and that's what you need to do today!
You need to use the creative imagination that God gave you and you need to seek God! Get out of the rut you're in and the routine of religion and go hard after Jesus until His touch changes everything!
Jesus said, "I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me will never go hungry, whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." No matter how hard your life is or what you're longing for that you can't get, if you will go to Jesus, if you won't keep your distance, He promises to satisfy! -Dr. Drew Shofner
This Christmas season, I want to remind you again that something has happened on planet earth that changed everything. 1 John 4:10 says, "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." It was the love of Jesus that cost God everything that He had. Some people live ignoring it but the truth is, the foundational axis of life on our planet shifted when the Messiah was born, crucified and rose again!
Here is the cross foretold, it is the story of Jesus told. "Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." -Isaiah 53
It is the story of a love that cost God everything. It is about our souls, our lives and our eternal destines. The truth is, what Jesus did on the cross was love on a collision course with life; long before you were ever born! You see, only a love without limits can blow the limits off your life!
Some of you are stuck in some bad places today. Some of you are stuck in some lifeless and lightless places. But our God loves you and is so passionate about you and cares about you so deeply that He truly wants to blow every limit off your life!
The chains that you're wearing, those have been taken care of. The sadness that you're feeling, it has been answered. The anger and the rage that are inside of you from the woundedness of your past, Jesus can take care of that. In fact, He already has; He gave His life! He poured out His love. Only a love that cost everything can change everything! -Dr. Drew Shofner
Normally when we think about quitting something it’s because it’s a bad thing, but the reality is some of you are stuck where you are because you won’t quit. Some of the things that you and I won’t quit are the very things that are keeping us from the life that we are longing for inside. I want you to understand the value of quitting the right things; we have to quit before we can start.
Some of the very things that we won’t quit are hurting the people around us. There are homes that are just filled with toxic negativity and people are negative about their kids and negative about each other. It’s hellish, and it’s a sin! Sin is a corrosive that destroys life to the core and that’s why God hates it; because He hates to see His children harmed!
We were never called to promote satan’s cynical vision of life! Satan is a cynic. You get that right? He doesn’t believe in you and me, and he’s looking for our imminent failure. He sees all of our flaws and faults and is ready to highlight them to anybody. He’s cynical about your worth, your abilities, your heart, your intelligence. He sees the worst in everything about you and is willing to skywrite that for you and the world to see! But God is the opposite. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Two different agendas!
I want to remind you that this earth is not our home; we are citizens of another kingdom. Sometimes it just scares me to think about some of the suffering that might be ahead; but then I’m like whatever, I have Jesus! I have the most positive message in the world! There is suffering and a struggle here, but there is believing that has to take place and here’s the deal, we live by believing and not by seeing (2 Corinthians 5:7).
In my old nature, it’s easy for me to see the downside of just about everything. Part of that is my background growing up as the child of an alcoholic in a military family that moved frequently; and life was hard. Things were always changing, always unpredictable and chaotic and so it was easy to develop this mentality that life is just harder than it is good. When I came to know Christ, I experienced the most positive message that I had ever heard. Hearing the good news (the Gospel) about Jesus was so different than hearing about religion. This personal relationship was life changing and so much more than a once a week exercise. This was a whole life transformation!
When I gave my life to Jesus, I kept my old nature, which is ridiculously negative, but that nature began to die and God gave me a new nature and the cool thing is that you’ve got that same new nature. Remember, negativity comes easy for you because it’s your old nature. In your homes, there are hard things and I get that. I know that, and I honor your struggle and your pain. But I would also say to you, so what? So what do you do with Jesus in the real world and in your home? Is hell more real in your home or is Jesus more real? –Dr. Drew Shofner
