Seeing The God Who Sees Me
The Church at Severn Run   -

For all that we know and have heard what worship is, we still fall into the trap of putting worship into a box that includes signing praise songs on Sundays. But God wants more of us than thirty or so minutes on day a week. Worship is our grateful response to the saving presence of a loving God. Worship is meant to be the rhythm of our lives as an everyday response to God’s love. In this story, Sarah gave up on God and tried to solve her problems on her own. Hagar got caught in the middle, and when things got bad, she ran away. Both women tried to solve their problems on their own, but God reached out to Hagar and showed her the plan that he had for her. When Hagar realized that God saw her in her pain, she responded in true worship.
