God gives what pleases Him, not what glorifies us!

1 Peter 4:10

What we need to understand in this journey, is that we are stewards of life, not owners! All of life belongs to God! When we call life ours, we are totally re-writing reality. We are disagreeing with the simple truth that we are stewards! God is a God who has given to each according to what He wanted (1 Peter 4:10). In the story, we have been given something that we didn't create, earn and don't even own. It's a temporary holding and we are managers. The trouble is that we want more! Not for the glory of God, we want more for our glory! Well, God almighty gave each one of us what He wanted us to have for His glory and for His purposes. God gives what pleases Him, not what glorifies us!

You see, God doesn't compare what He gave us to what He gave others, and we shouldn't compare what we've been given either. Our purpose isn't their purpose! So the question is what will we do with what we have in the short time we have before we offer it back? -Dr. Drew Shofner
